Contour
A headphone design study exploring materials, color and sculpted form.

The opportunity
Technology with a more personal character.
Headphones are often shaped by familiar technical conventions. Contour explores how materials, color and a continuous sculpted silhouette can give an everyday audio product a more personal, expressive and refined presence.

The idea
One continuous gesture.
Early sketches explored how the headband and earcups could feel visually connected. The selected direction uses soft transitions and a flowing profile to create a recognizable silhouette from every angle.

Development
From digital form to physical prototype.
Digital modeling resolved the main surfaces, proportions and transitions. A physical prototype then brought the design into the real world, making it possible to review its scale, presence and overall form beyond the screen.
Materials and form
One design, different expressions.
Color and material studies explored how the same sculpted form could move from subtle to expressive. Translucent surfaces, contrasting cushions and illuminated accents give each direction its own character while preserving the core design.

The design in motion
Form, materials and detail from every angle.

Contour
A more expressive way to experience sound.
